Fish Tales - Richmond Hill: Reviews & Ratings
I liked the atmosphere, we ate outside. There were flies, but the fans kept most, except for the most vigilant flies off our food. Eating inside is an option, but we had 7 people and opted for the earliest open table. I had as an appetizer the calamari and the seafood dip. The calamari was quite plain, it could use some spices, and the seafood/crab dip didn't really have any taste and was too cheesy. I had what they call the Richmond Hill bun, sort of a crab salad sandwich. Again not much taste. Maybe I ordered the wrong food, I'll get something different. The server was excellent and was always there when needed. BTW, my iced tea was good.
My friend wanted me to try this place and I'm always game for that. It's kinda tucked away by the water which is great unless the gnats are out, that part was not so fun but then were full inside of course. The service was slow but the food was delicious. The atmosphere is fun and being by the water is great, and if you can time it right, it's a good time.
Super cute place! Fun beach vibes. Food was seriously so good. Our server Ellie was amazing and super friendly. I got the blackened tuna bowl and it was so fresh and tasty! My husband got the tuna tacos and they were amazing. The cocktails tasted good but were very basic, but no problems with them. Great view of the water. Would definitely recommend!
Nice location on the river. Staff was great and helpful. Seafood was fresh and cooked very well. Highly recommend the crab soup it was amazing. We had a great time talking to the folks at the bar, very friendly. You can walk the pier and see the sailboats.
This was a great place. There was live music and I had the ahi tuna tacos which were fabulous!! Sweet Elly (Ellie?) our server was attentive and engaging. Loved it!
Nice setting on the water. You have the option of sitting outside or inside. For appetizers we enjoyed the Seafood dip and a order of hush puppies with honey butter. They both were very tasty and filling. Our entrees were blackened Maui, blackened red fish and a seafood basket with fried fish and shrimp. All were good but nothing spectacular. The blackened fish was seasoned well but could have used just a pinch of salt. The fried shrimp were fresh and tasty.
We were traveling looking for some fresh seafood before we left the Savannah area. Without having to go all the way into downtown Savannah. We found this place and based on the reviews decided to check it out. It's right on the water associated to a Marina. So it's got a cool fun vibe. Staff are mostly teenagers. They were energetic and friendly. Seemed like they were having fun. We shared a half pound of boiled shrimp and a half pound of low country boil, and some hush puppies. The hush puppies were freakishly delicious. I'm not in the Savannah area very often, but I could see myself adding this to my itinerary the next time I pass through.
Went there for sunset dinner. We ordered calamari, scallop Po-boy, and a cup of gumbo. Scallop Po-boy was good. Bun was soft, scallops cooked perfectly. Fries were excellent. I'm kind of a FF snob, they have to be ot and crispy. These were! Gumbo okay, good but nothing special. Calamari were tough and chewy. Sunset delivered and dinner was enjoyed.
